The visit started at 8:20 am with 25 (twenty five) students.
Since the meeting is at 3 pm (Friday), we went first for Friday's pray
and lunch. We arrived at the TMRND office around 3:05 pm.
We were welcome by Pn. Noryana, general supports, who presented
generals about TMRND, en. Asri from HRD, presenting about TMRND’s
working conditions and en. Hisham, who talked about the IT lab at the
TMRND, as the head of IT lab at TMRND.
Additionally, we discussed with en. Rizal Yusob, marketing, about the
conditions to work together with the R&D team from TMRND. Basically,
TMRND would welcome us with research activities and in some cases, the
TMRND needs to sign an NDA with UTM (e.g. signed by VC and witnessed
by Dean), e.g. using live network equipments etc.
The industry visit was closed by refreshment for students, lecturer
and TMRND staffs, before the bus departs home to UTM Johor Bahru.
Noted is also the fact, that 4 (four) students from UTM FSKSM applied
for internship, after the visit on 30 June 2011 to TMRND, and 2 of
them are working at TMRND and 2 others in KL.
